In General
The Asean region is on the road of integration and one best way of getting the Asean Citizens involved is to give them an easy (to remember) way of helping their fellow Aseans in times of calamities. Welcome the ASEAN Cooperation Fund for Emergency Relief.
Thanks to the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response, the emergency fund was created. Starting today, we can help our Asean brothers and sisters in their time of need by donating to the fund.

The ASEAN Cooperation Fund for Emergency Relief already helped the victims of Typhoon Ketsana in the Philippines, VietNam, Laos, and Cambodia; and the victims of a series of earthquakes that hit Indonesia. The initial fund was taken from the ASEAN Development Fund, and will be used to purchase relief items based on the needs of the affected population.
So, if you are an Asean Citizen, or if you want to help fill up the coffers of the project, then please donate. Our region is sitting on tectonic plates (read: 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake), Western Pacific Typhoon Belt (read: Typhoon Xangsane & Ketsana [2009]), and the Pacific Ring of Fire (read: Philippines & Indonesia). We do get a lot of earthquakes and typhoons, include to that list our active volcanoes and possible tsunamis. (And there are other disasters as well!)
We need this fund, please donate! Thank you in advance! Mabuhay Aseans!
